  Integrated GRI report for Public Agency: Develop integrated financial and sustainability report for economic development agency following GRI Reporting Framework. Services include project management, report writing, data visualization and sustainability assessment for client. 

  Environmental Sustainability Report for Healthcare Organization: Develop environmental sustainability report for large integrated healthcare delivery system.   Non-Profit Sector, Energy Literacy Training Campaign: Develop comprehensive "Saving Energy First" training campaign for new homeowner educational series. Develop training content, train-the-trainer materials and trainer demonstration kits to help foster energy literacy, reduce operating costs and increase sustainable behaviors for low- and middle-income homeowners.

  Healthcare Sector, Environmental Governance: Review corporate governance structures, policies and procedures and develop recommendations for comprehensive environmental governance program. Draft corporate environmental policy and corporate recycling policy. Review and amend existing policies and procedures to incorporate environmental sustainability. Amend corporate purchasing policy to include green purchasing language.

  Healthcare Sector, Employee Green Team: Develop employee green team program for one of state’s largest private employers. Design communications, recruiting strategies and program governance and review structures.

  Healthcare Sector, Environmental Footprinting: Develop environmental footprint and identify key environmental performance indicators for integrated healthcare delivery services organization. Consolidate into corporate scorecard to track environmental performance.

  Electric Utility Sector, Institutional Recycling Program and Performance Measures: Footprint recycling efforts of utility’s multi-state, multi-subsidiary recycling program. Develop scorecard and performance report, design and manage development of new executive-level dashboard reporting suite, database modifications and database reporting suite. Develop recycling scorecard that tracks three-year progress towards facility-level recycling goals.

  Municipality, Climate Action Plan: Develop, design, edit and publish municipality’s Climate Action Plan and companion road show presentation materials. Present report at series of citywide town hall meetings and appear on television to promote climate action plan.

  Electric Utility Sector, Environmental Performance Goals, Footprint and Scorecard: Footprint five-year corporate environmental sustainability performance measures for investor owned utility, three subsidiary utilities and joint venture utility. Track performance towards five-year performance goals, develop board-level report analyzing environmental performance goal results. Consult with cross-functional executive team for development of new suite of three-year environmental performance goals.

  Electric Utility Sector, Twenty Year Integrated Electric Resource Plan: Design, edit, illustrate and publish 400+ page document that outlines the 20-year electric generation portfolio strategy for investor-owned utility. Plan includes generation portfolio, transmission and distribution planning, cost-for-carbon scenarios, stochastic analyses, demand-side management and renewable energy resources. Work with generation portfolio planners and stakeholders in public advisory process to develop resource plan.

  Recycling Case Study [electric utility]

  This investor-owned utility had a great recycling program, but it was having trouble gathering performance and reporting metrics from its multi-state, multi-subsidiary facilities.

  Concept Green worked with this client’s in-house development staff to design a web-based platform that would be accessible to all users via the corporate intranet. Concept Green designed the user interface, wrote the technical specifications and developed the conversion calculations that normalized recycling and waste data. Concept Green also designed a full reporting suite and corporate dashboard to provide comparability and context for tracking the client’s progress towards its three-year waste reduction goals.

  The end result was an easy, accessible and streamlined way for remote facilities to report their progress via the new web-based database. And, with a new reporting suite and executive dashboard, the recycling program manager could instantly create on-demand reports that provide real-time data on recycling performance across the enterprise.

  Green Team Case Study [healthcare]

  When this large integrated healthcare delivery system called Concept Green to help them get their arms around an enterprise-level sustainability effort, they had already had several fits and starts in the right direction. They just weren’t getting the kind of traction they needed. Concept Green narrowed the client’s focus to an employee green team that would have an initial program focus on break room and cafeteria recycling. By keeping it simple, Concept Green was able to direct the client’s energy and ideas into a well-defined green team recruiting and recycling campaign.

  Concept Green developed the client’s green team program guide, communications and recruiting strategy and website content for recruiting and engaging green team members across the state. Concept Green also worked with the facility management team and regional waste, recycling and janitorial vendors to identify and resolve back-end recycling logistics.

  Once all of the components were in place, the green team recruiting campaign began with a bang—75 employees volunteered for the new green team the first day of the recruiting campaign. The client now has an engaged workforce, reduced wastes and a solid foundation from which to expand its sustainability efforts. What’s next? The sky’s the limit!
