How do you communicate sustainability? Very carefully.

Concept Green’s communications services fall into three areas:

  • sustainability engagement campaigns

    Sustainability Engagement Campaigns

We know it’s hard for people to change. We also know employees - at all levels of a company - can get initiative fatigue when they’re presented with one “priority project” after another. Sometimes getting buy-in from key personnel gets difficult, if they don’t understand the net benefits of the initiative. That’s why we work to develop customized, practical sustainability programs that make sense for your organization.

We don’t offer “cookie cutter” sustainability programs. Every time we work with an organization, we create a unique program that accounts for diversities like available resources, corporate culture, timeframe, management buy-in, and anything else that can affect the long-term success of the initiative. To craft our programs, we develop opinion surveys, run focus groups, test pilot programs and develop strategies, tools and communications that educate, engage and inspire your people to adopt sustainable habits.

We also work with your external stakeholders - communities, suppliers, thought leaders, investors, customers and others - to assess your organization's influence and image regarding sustainability issues. Through facilitated engagement sessions, opinion surveys and third-party review boards, we provide stakeholder feedback that supports your commitment to sustainability.

  • sustainability reporting and disclosure

    Sustainability Reporting

We’re blown away by the Global Reporting Initiative’s guidelines for sustainability reporting. We think everyone should use it. Sure it’s daunting at first, but we like to keep things simple for our clients and we are great at breaking GRI reporting down into easily digestible concepts. Who better to do this than us? We are certified GRI reporters and we host and train GRI training events nationally through our collaborating partnership with the ISOS Group.

We can help you with any and all aspects of your sustainability reporting efforts, including:

    • Publication planning and project management
    • Materiality assessments
    • Content development and information graphics
    • Stakeholder and advisory group facilitation
    • GRI coverage assessments and indexing
    • Sustainability reporting assessment (aka greenwash “gut check”)
    • Key performance indicator review and selection
    • Custom GRI training or services
    • Mid-project triage
    • Post-publication road shows, presentations and stakeholder feedback strategies

There’s an art to writing a great sustainability report - one that uses a clear, humble and balanced narrative, but is supported by great information design. We’ve been writing, editing and critiquing sustainability content since 2006. We know how to inform and engage your readers while remaining true to the ideals of balance, credibility and transparency. We can develop copy for you, or we can work with your in-house writers to train them about sustainability writing and edit their copy until they’re comfortable with the nuances of proper sustainability writing.
